The dress code at Birchwood Farms Golf & Country Club varies by location and activity:
General Dress Code:
Clothing should be in good taste, as Birchwood is a private country club community. Members must comply with specific dress codes listed for each amenity.
Clubhouse Area Dress Code:
Prohibited: Tank or halter shirts, t-shirts, thong-style swimsuits, short shorts, micro-mini skirts, cutoff shorts, and denim with holes, frayed edges, or stains.
Allowed: Bathing attire with cover-ups, tennis attire, fitness attire, or sweat suits in the Casual Bar and clubhouse deck areas only.
Golf hats/caps are not to be worn in the clubhouse dining room, grill room, or library (exceptions for golf events or themed parties). Hats are allowed in the Casual Bar and Golf shop.
No spiked golf shoes are allowed in the Clubhouse or Clubhouse decks.
Shoes worn on clay courts must be cleaned before entering the Clubhouse.
Golf Dress Code:
Proper golf attire is required in the Golf Shop, on the golf course, driving range, practice area, and putting green.
Men and Boys: Shirts with collars, turtlenecks, or mock turtlenecks (must be tucked in unless designed to be untucked).
Prohibited: Cut-offs, short shorts, short skirts (shorter than mid-thigh), tank tops, tee shirts, blue denim, tennis/workout apparel, and tights. Leggings may be worn under golf skirts.
Golf hats/caps must be worn bill-forward.
Soft spikes are required at all times.
Pool Area Dress Code:
Proper swimwear is required. Thong style swimwear is not permitted. Street clothes are not permitted in the pool.
Racquet Sports Dress Code:
Appropriate court attire is required.
Prohibited: Cut-offs, blue denim, and tank tops.
Court shoes must be worn for court care and safe play.
Fitness Center Dress Code:
Shirts and tennis shoes must be worn at all times.
Shoes worn outside the Fitness Center cannot be used in the equipment room.
Failure to comply with the dress code may result in loss of membership privileges at the discretion of the Board of Trustees.
